Manilow was doing what he does best...
I am a teacher and I know the shortage of instruments and about schools cutting music programs, which is sad because I truly believe there would be less dropouts if you give a child a dream - and what better dream to have... MUSIC and completing your education! Manilow was doing what he does best... MUSIC and helping others. He's known for his charitable work but I think this was one of his best concerts I had seen in a very long time - for one reason he sang songs alot of his albums such as from - 2AM paradise cafe...he sang - When October Goes, One of my absolute favorite albums and songs on the album. I've been a fan of Barry Manilow since I was 13... I am now 48 and Manilow's songs are the soundtrack to my life - I wouldn't have it any other way. He sang songs from the beginning of his career like... I am your child and all the old Adia and Clora Snatch Joy Classics - from Copa to Weekend in New England. In fact, I talked them to go see him in Vegas before Manilow leaves the Hilton and they said they were absolutely going. It was worth all the hassle of getting from Hobbs New Mexico...to LA and driving in LA for this show. I can't say enough about this show... so, it was absolutely FANTASTIC! There was a couple - seeing Manilow for the very first time ( a rare thing if you're a Manilow fan...) sitting next to me...and they were absolutely blown away. I am so glad I got to see the Hollywood Bowl... that was not only Manilow's first time there at the Hollywood Bowl but mine as well...and I enjoyed it so very much. Only gripe I had, was the parking...that sucked LOLOL and some idiot writing me a note saying I wasn't parked right... How else can you park?? When cars are stacked one behind the other???
